MANILA, Philippines – The Denver Nuggets survived a wild finish to defeat the league-leading Oklahoma City Thunder, 121-118, in overtime at the Pepsi Center in Denver.

Corey Brewer came off the bench to score 26 points, 15 of which came in the final period, while six other Nuggets scored in double figures.

The Thunder forced the extra session by erasing an 11-point deficit with three minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Kevin Durant and Kevin Martin each converted a three-pointer to make it 107-106 with only 1:26 remaining. After two free throws by Danilo Gallinari, Thunder guard Russell Westbrook drained a triple with 22 seconds to go to tie the game at 109.

Big man Kenneth Faried gave the Nuggets the lead for good when he converted a lay-up to make 117-116 in overtime.

Free throws by Wilson Chandler ended the scoring at 121-118 as both Durant and Westbrook missed three-pointers that could have sent the game to a second overtime.

Durant and Westbrook finished with 37 and 36 points, respectively, but it was not enough as the Thunder lost their first overtime game of the season.

The loss snapped the Thunder’s six-game winning streak, though they still have the best record in the league. They are now tied with the Los Angeles Clippers at 32-9. -- With a report from ANC.
