On November 11, 2009, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) once again rejected the petition of the Ang Ladlad Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Party to participate in the partylist race, this time as a sectoral party.

Map of flood-prone areas in Metro Manila--DPWH

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) came up with a map locating the flood prone areas in Metro Manila. Areas shaded in blue will be affected by 50-100 year flood cycle while those in yellow will be affected by 2-5 year flood cycle. The numbers in the years indicate the estimated probability of a flood event happening in a given year—the higher the flood cycle, the higher the water level of the flood.
