Five pass naval architect and marine engineer exam

Five out of sixteen passed the Naval Architect and Marine Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in Manila, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Thursday.

Those who passed were:

1--Balancio, Vin-Sylvan Oliquino
2--Larazi, Jurem Punzalan
3--Lucas, Rowell Soriaga
4--Paz, Rey Darius Ordoña
5--Tuliao, John Angelo Dacayo

Those who took the exams were from three schools: Mariners Polytechnic College Foundation-Baras, Namei Polytechnic Institute, and University of Cebu. All five who passed were from Namei Polytechnic Institute.

The members of the Board of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering are Engr. Jusnedeo Jose E. Pascual, chairman, and Engr. Rosalio A. Quirante, member.

The PRC urged the five who passed to register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. The oathtaking ceremony for the successful examinees will be held October 10 at 6 pm at Bayview Park Hotel, Roxas Blvd., Manila.

Registration for membership in the Philippine Association of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (PANAME) will also start on Friday, October 10, the PRC said.
