MANILA, Philippines -  Election watchdog Kontra Daya on Wednesday released 10 tips for voters come Election Day.

The tips include:

  • Come early on election day to check the assigned precinct and name on the voter's list
  • Make sure that the ballot is clean and unmarked before accepting it from the Board of Election Inspectors.
  • The ballot must be scanned by the BEI to make sure that it has ultraviolet security marks. Do not accept ballots without UV marks.
  • Make sure that the PCOS machine accepts the ballot. You are allowed 4 tries to feed the ballot into the PCOS machine. If it is not accepted, the BEI must explain why the ballot is rejected.
