MANILA -- Mobile communication app developer WeChat on Monday announced that it has formed a partnership with FHM Philippines for the men’s magazine's mobile communication platform.
With WeChat on board, FHM readers can now access the magazine’s materials such as exclusive access to topics including movies, gadgets, music, health, and, of course, sex.
Furthermore, users can also get updates and photos of their favorite FHM girls.
Steve Zheng, vice president of business development for WeChat, said the latest tie-up indicates the company’s direction to “create a bridge between WeChat users and FHM readers.”
“We’ll be providing FHM with another venue for communication,” he said.
Aeus Reyes, associate publisher of FHM, said the magazine’s mobile platform would give their readers real-time updates on various topics they follow. Furthermore, Reyes said this capability gives to interact directly with their readers.
Reyes also said FHM will use the WeChat platform in helping them pick the contenders of the brand walk off, FHM’s newest feature to be launched in the same date as the its 100 Sexiest Women list.
The brand walk off is where hotties from brands like Tanduay, Petron, Rogin-E, RRJ, KojieSan, Exped Socks and Hero Poker vie for the title of the sexiest woman to represent a sponsor.
“We really love the dynamic features for the event itself. Readers get to vote on the favorite sponsors segment,” said Reyes
