ANTIQUE -- A man was stabbed and decapitated by some of his drinking buddies in Brgy. Mojon, San Jose de Buenavista in Antique Saturday evening.
The victim, 21-year-old Julius Mistas, was having a drinking session with suspects Juliebert Ymon and his brother Roberto Ymon, Jr. in front of a store in the barangay.
According to the store owner, there was no conflict between the three men while they were drinking.
He added that Mistas left to answer a phone call. When he returned, the suspects stabbed him before cutting his head off.
The victim's head was found around five or six meters away from his body.
According to the police, the suspects and the victim might have had a drunken argument.
But further investigation revealed that the suspects' family has a grudge against the victim's family. The victim's father and sibling is currently in jail for killing the suspects' uncle in 2009.
The suspects' mother added that she noticed that the Mistas has been following her sons and watching their house for a few days.
Their barangay chairman said the problem started to escalate when Mistas' relatives slowly arrived to their place from the town of San Remegio.
The victim's relatives are now fearing for their lives due to the incident, especially as the Ymon brothers are still at-large. -- report from Candy Talidano, ABS-CBN News Iloilo
