MANILA - Three months after their reported encounter at an upscale bar last year, prized ABS-CBN stars Anne Curtis and John Lloyd Cruz are working together in a new ad campaign for a canned-tuna brand.
The 29-year-old actress took to Instagram Tuesday to welcome Cruz as a fellow endorser of Century Tuna, which has tapped the actor to take up a fitness challenge.
"Welcome to the [Century Tuna Super Bods] JL," Curtis said in the caption of a photo of her posing with the 30-year-old actor.
Aside from co-starring in the drama series "Maging Sino Ka Man" in 2006, the two stars' earlier projects together include the endorsement of a local line of mobile phones.
The two were embroiled in a controversy only recently, after the publication of a report detailing a November 23 incident where a drunk Curtis supposedly slapped three people, including Cruz, at an exclusive club.
Curtis, who admitted some of the allegations, emphasized in her apology on Twitter that the parties involved had already settled their differences before the report came out in December.
The actress has since referred to the incident as a "lesson learned," and has repeatedly expressed willingness to work with Cruz anew, if given the chance.
Cruz, on the other hand, spoke for the first time about the incident in January. Noting "several versions" of the incident have come out, the actor said it would be best to let the issue rest and move on.
