MANILA - Aside from hats, the Philippine National Police is also proposing a ban on wearing shades or dark sunglasses inside mall premises.
In an interview on radio DZMM, PNP spokesman Reuben Theodore Sindac said the banning of sunglasses and caps can discourage criminals from possibly attacking malls.
He said the proposal can also boost chances of identifying suspects.
"We don't see the need to wear sunglasses inside the mall kasi wala namang glare of the sun. Aside from aesthetics tsaka form kung may gusto kang itago," he said.
"Minarapat na lang namin na siguro bago pumasok tanggaling ang cap at shades to help us in identifying would-be criminals who might plan and serve as a deterrent na din para yung mga may binabalak ay mag-isip muna bago gawin," he added.
