MANILA -- One hundred and twenty tons of construction materials, to be used for rehabilitation and rebuilding efforts in the islands of Coron, Busuanga, and Culion, have arrived in Coron Port on Tuesday.
Coron, Busuanga, and Culion, part of the Calamian Group of Islands, are some of the towns severely damaged by typhoon "Yolanda."
According to Raymundo Quicho of the Palawan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, these materials can be used by 14,000 families to rebuild their houses.
Among the materials delivered were galvanized iron sheets, plywood, nails and other construction materials.
Thirteen other towns in the province of Palawan were put under state of calamity. -- with reports from Noel Alamar, dzMM
