AL-KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia – Filipino fans of boxing superstar Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao in Eastern Saudi are confident that their idol and countryman will defeat Brandon "Bam-bam" Rios via knockout when the two pugilists meet at the Venetian’s Cotai Arena in Macau on Sunday, November 24.
Ronald Omalay, a barber in Al-Khobar, is excited to watch this important event in the boxing career of Pacquiao after he was knocked out by his ring nemesis Juan Manuel Maquez last year.
Another OFW in Al-Khobar named Garry Pado hopes that Pacman will win against Bam-bam. He also hopes that Pacquiao will use as an inspiration the win of compatriot Nonito Donaire, Jr. against Vic Darchinyan of Australia last week in Texas.
OFW Ruben Ibarra also hopes that Pacquiao will prevail over Rios so that he could help more kababayans that were affected by typhoon Yolanda in the Visayas.
Meanwhile, Jhun Daniel of Al-Hassa believes that Pacquiao is the only boxer who could possibly beat the American boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. when they will meet in the future.
