MANILA – Manny Pacquiao’s business adviser Michael Koncz was discharged from the hospital two days after he experienced chest pains.
ABS-CBN correspondent Dyan Castillejo reported that Koncz did not have a heart attack. She said Koncz is currently resting at The Venetian Macau.
Koncz was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after experiencing chest pains and headaches. Initial reports said he suffered a heart attack or contracted Bells' palsy.
“Buti't naagapan at hindi siya tuluyang nagka-heart attack pero high blood pressure daw,” said Castillejo.
She said Koncz was already not feeling well when they arrived in Macau, where Pacquiao is scheduled to fight Brandon Rios on Sunday.
“Kasabay ko si Koncz sa byahe papunta dito, medyo masama ang kanyang pakiramdam. Pagdating ng Linggo, ay naospital siya pero narelease din siya the same day,” said Castillejo.
Doctors have advised Koncz to change his diet, exercise and avoid stress.
The Canadian plays a vital part in Team Pacquiao. He manages the boxer’s business transactions with Top Rank promotions.
He also represents Pacquiao in negotiations with other fighters.
