MANILA -- Three successive earthquakes shook parts of Bohol and Cebu from Wednesday night to Thursday morning.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), a magnitude 2.7 earthquake hit Bohol at around 10:37 p.m. on Wednesday.
The epicenter was recorded at 79 kilometers north-east of Tagbilaran City.
At around 11:41 p.m., another magnitude 3.9 earthquake shook the area. It was felt in Cebu City at Intensity II, and at Intensity I in Lapu-Lapu City.
A magnitude 4.5 earthquake hit Tagbilaran City at around 5:37 a.m. Thursday. The center was recorded at 52 kilometers north-east of Tagbilaran City.
It was also felt in Mandaue City at Intensity IV, and Intensity II in Cebu City.
The earthquakes did not cause any damage, and there are no expected aftershocks.
The earthquakes were all tectonic in nature. -- with reports from dzMM
