MANILA, Philippines – LandBank has resumed limited operations of its branch and automated teller machine (ATM) in Tacloban City more than a week after the area was devastated by typhoon “Yolanda.”
The branch is located at Brgy.59B, Real St., Sagkahan District.
A mobile ATM, powered by PLDT and Smart, is also operational at the PLDT Compound in Jones St. corner M.H. del Pilar while another mobile ATM will be deployed at the Tacloban City Hall in the coming days.
Three LandBank branches in Ormoc, Baybay, and Maasin in Leyte; and Sogod, Calbayog and Catbalogan in Samar have also resumed normal operations.
Several branches in Samar (Catarman and Borongan), Palawan (Coron), Biliran (Naval), and Bohol (Talibon) have yet to restore normal operations due to the loss of online connectivity.
These branches, however, are open to accept over-the-counter transactions.
LandBank said it will give updates on its affected branches as it continues to address damage and restore online connectivity.
