Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha
MANILA – Singer Lani Misalucha is set to perform for the victims of super typhoon “Yolanda” (international name Haiyan) this week.
Misalucha, dubbed as “Asia’s Nightingale,” will hold a show billed as “Queen of the Night” at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort and Casino.
Proceeds from the show will go to relief efforts for “Yolanda” survivors.
Solaire has also given a 40% discount on the concert tickets (at P4,347 and P2,173 each) “to make it easier for the public to take part in this charity event.”
The tickets are now priced at P2,608.32 and P1,304.16 each.
The official death toll from "Yolanda" is now past the 4,000 mark, with the figure expected to rise as many more remain missing.
Several individuals and organizations here and abroad have been extending their help to the Philippines, whether through sending relief goods, holding benefit shows or giving monetary aid.
