MANILA -- Around 1,700 passengers are stranded in Matnog Port in Sorsogon after trips of ships and boats all over Bicol were cancelled due to super typhoon Yolanda.
In a press briefing by the Office of Civil Defense Region V held in Camp Simeon Ola in Legazpi City, Albay, the agency admitted that this number may still increase.
It said other vessels are also stranded in ports in Tabaco, Albay and in Pasacao, Camarines Sur.
All bus trips from Naga City bound for Manila have also been suspended due due to 'Yolanda'.
Public Storm Signal # 1 has been raised over Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes and Albay, and signal #2 is up over Sorsogon and Masbate. - with reports from dzMM
