More 'Slurpee' flavors to be launched soon
MANILA – Coca-Cola Philippines is set to launch more flavors of Slurpee, the iconic frozen beverage of 7-Eleven, after the beverage giant and convenience store chain forged a partnership.
With the partnership, Slurpee will now be offered in Cola and Raspberry flavors. More flavors will be introduced soon, according to Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines chief executive Juan Ramon Felix.
“This is only the beginning…Aside from Cola and Raspberry, Coca-Cola shall be introducing new flavors to give customers a more exciting variety of experiences. Our consumers can definitely look forward to many new innovations from Coca-Cola and Slurpee,” he said.
The partnership is expected to bring in additional revenues to the two firms as it expands the Coca-Cola brand to include frozen drinks.
“The Slurpee partnership with 7-Eleven has expanded the portfolio of Coca-Cola to include frozen beverages. This enables Coca-Cola to share happiness with even more Filipinos through this new channel,” said Coca-Cola Philippines president Guillermo Aponte.
The two firms also launched Slurpee Bring Your Own Cup Day on Thursday, which allows customers to purchase a Slurpee for P29 using “the craziest cups they can get their hands on.”
