MANILA -- A magnitude 6.0 earthquake shook Sultan Kudarat on Sunday night, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The earthquake hit the town of Palimbang at around 7:04 p.m. Sunday.
The earthquake was felt at intensity 3 in Malita, Davao del Sur and at intensity 2 in Davao City.
The Phivolcs warned residents of Palimbang to expect aftershocks, but no damage was expected.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin.
A magnitude 5.9 earthquake hit Palimbang last September 3.
