MANILA, Philippines -- Rhinoplasty and face lift are among the common medical procedures done on the face. There are also several procedures that can enhance one's eyes and brows.
Now, there is also a procedure for those who want to add some bulk to their chin.
Radiesse treatment is a non-invasive medical procedure used to add some bulk and length to the chin. It uses calcium hydroxylapatite and is harder than regular fillers used on the face.
In an interview with "Salamat Dok" that aired on Sunday, celebrity doctor Dr. Vicky Belo explained that this treatment is ideal for people who want to have a "proportional face."
She said that ideally, the length from the forehead to the eyebrows, from the eyebrows to the nose, and from the upper lip to the chin should be the same.
"Sa cheeks, hyaluronic acid ang ginagamit ko, para malambot. Sa mga bony na part ng mukha, mas maganda ang Radiesse treatment," Belo explained.
Radiesse treatment is recommended for people with small chins. It is also common among men, as well as for older women whose facial bones have started to deteriorate.
The procedure can be done within 10 minutes, and its effects last for about two years, Belo said.
