MANILA – Singer Sarah Geronimo is set to return on musical variety show “ASAP” soon.
Without disclosing the exact date, a teaser was shown during its live show on Sunday.
“The energy. The soul. The heart. The power. Fiercer and stronger than ever. She has finally returned. Soon on ‘ASAP 18,’” the teaser said.
This was then followed by a post from ABS-CBN’s MJ Felipe which was retweeted by official Twitter account of “The Voice of the Philippines.”
“This is awesome. Sarah G will be back in ASAP!!!!” Felipe said.
Geronimo left “ASAP” in February 2012 as she headlined her own musical variety show “Sarah G Live!”
However, “Sarah G Live!” also went off air a year later as Geronimo joined Lea Salonga, apl.de.ap and Francisco “Bamboo” Manalac as the coaches of the Philippine franchise of “The Voice.”
It has already been three weeks since “The Voice” aired its final episode.
Aside from returning to “ASAP,” Geronimo has also confirmed that she will be back as one of the coaches of “The Voice” for its second season.
"Yes, opo. Nag-yes na po kami for the second season. Noong una, ayaw ko kasi traumang-trauma na ako. Pero sabi ko, si Ms. Lea, nag-yes na rin,” she said.
"Masarap sa pakiramdam na nagiging bahagi ka ng pagtupad ng pangarap ng ibang tao, ng aspiring singers and, in a way, nakakatulong ka na rin kung anuman 'yung naibigay mo, naisha-share mo sa mga tao. So, masarap. So sabi ko, yes, opo," she told reporters.
Currently, the country's "Pop Star Princess" is gearing up for her 10th anniversary concert dubbed as "Perfect 10" next month.
