COTABATO CITY -- A soldier was wounded while a bus inspector was killed in separate shooting incidents in Pikit town, North Cotabato.
The soldier, identified as Corporal Sandiale Adzal of the Army's 7th Infantry Battalion, was shot by a still unidentified gunman while he was standing outside a hospital with his wife on Tuesday.
Adzal sustained a gunshot wound in the face, but survived.
He was transferred to Midsayap Hospital for further treatment.
Authorities suspect the shooting incident was related to his job.
Meanwhile, a bus inspector was shot dead past 5 a.m. Wednesday at a public terminal in Pikit town.
The fatality was identified as William Sasi, a resident of Matalam, North Cotabato.
Sasi sustained five gunshot wounds from a .45-caliber pistol on different parts of his body, causing his immediate death.
The still unidentified suspects fled towards the direction of the public market.
