MANILA – Tropical storm "Quedan" is expected to stay inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) until Sunday night as it further slowed down over water.
PAGASA said the storm was seen moving north northwest at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour (kph).
By Sunday night, it is expected to be outside of PAR or 220 kilometers northeast of Northern Taiwan.
In its 11 p.m. bulletin Thursday, PAGASA said the storm was spotted 710 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes.
The storm has maintained its strength, but it is not expected to affect any part of the country.
It is carrying winds of 110 kph and gustiness of up to 140 kph.
No storm signals have been raised, so far.
