MANILA, Philippines – Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao has decided to postpone his sparring sessions until Thursday to celebrate his daughter's birthday.
Pacquiao was supposed to spar with undefeated Ghanaian welterweight Fredrick Lawson on Wednesday.
Philboxing's Ronnie Nathanielsz reported that the former 8-division champion brought his daughter Princess to the White Cross Children’s orphanage as part of his daughter’s birthday celebration.
Pacquiao, who is set to face Brandon Rios on November 24, is in Manila to attend several social commitments.
Last Saturday, the Filipino boxer sparred with middleweight boxer Marlon Alta who served as a replacement of South Korean Min Wook Kim. Min failed to show up at the gym as he didn’t make the flight from Korea.
Pacquiao also played basketball last Monday at the Rizal Coliseum as part of his conditioning regimen.
According to the Philippine Star's Abac Cordero, Pacquiao played in tandem with former PBA import Jamelle Cornley.
