MANILA – The rock metal band P.O.D. is now in Manila for a performance this weekend at the Dutdutan Philippines International Tattoo Festival.
The concert will be the main highlight of the festival, which will run from September 27-28 at the World Trade Center (WTC) in Pasay City.
P.O.D. was formed in 1992 when two Filipino-American musicians, Sonny Sandoval and Wuv Bernardo, got together in high school. P.O.D. will perform on both nights of the two-day event, along with Joey Ayala, Kamikaze, General Luna and other rock bands.
Tousted as the largest international tattoo festival in Asia, Dutdutan is aiming to gather thousands of artists, collectors and ink enthusiasts.
This year's festival will feature international mixed martial artists, fashion and music performances as well as tattoo artists.
Unauthorized Ink's infamous Big Tiny, world renowned tattoo artist Steve Soto of Goodfellas Tattoo, and Tribal founder Bobby Ruiz will also attend the event.
About 140 booths will be set up in the three halls of WTC, filled by the best local and international tattoo artists from all over the country and around the world.
Vendors and traders will offer a range of tattoo services, equipment, and after-care products.
Events such as the annual tattoo competitions, professional URCC fights, an FHM bikini contest and a drum duel will also be held.
