MANILA, Philippines – Police arrested several persons engaging in illegal drugs and flesh trade in Sitio Pulong Candy, Brgy. Cuyab, San Pedro, Laguna on Friday.
Seven persons alleged to be involved in a 'sex swap' deal were served search warrants after an intelligence report from Laguna police revealed that some female minors are selling their flesh in exchange of illegal drugs amounting to P500.
Eleven females and 35 males, some of whom are minors, were caught in the act of having sex and using illegal drugs during the separate raids.
During the operation, the police were able to uncover six sex and drug dens in the area.
Sachets of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also found.
San Pedro, Laguna chief of police Kerby Kraft vowed to monitor the situation in the area from now on after residents complained that the drug dens usually come back after every police operations.
A former barangay official in the area was also arrested in the operation. Police caught him throwing two pieces of foil used in taking shabu, but denied it was his. – report from Francis Faulve, ABS-CBN News
