MANILA, Philippines – A 28-year-old overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who gave birth to a healthy baby girl on board a plane arrived in Manila.

Mylen Molina who worked as a factory worker in Dubai arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 aboard a Singapore Airlines flight from Singapore.

On March 12, then 8-month pregnant Molina boarded the flight from Dubai and gave birth to a baby girl while the plane was heading to Singapore.

Luckily, a Singaporean doctor was on the same flight. The doctor and flight attendants helped Molina deliver her baby. She named her baby Joy Dagan Molina.

When the plane landed in Singapore, the Changi International Airport emergency and rescue team immediately brought the mother and child to a hospital.

Singapore Airlines shouldered Molina’s hospital bills as well as their plane fare back to Manila.

From NAIA, Molina will travel straight to her province in Santa Catalina in Quirino, Isabela.
