President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday told overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to "raise hell" at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport airport if their luggage and other belongings will be opened for inspection by Customs officials.

In a speech before thousands of Filipinos at the Lusail Sports Arena in Doha, Qatar, Duterte said the belongings of Filipino travelers are no longer subject to inspection upon their arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

"Kung buksan bag ninyo, you raise hell, make a scandal," he said.

"What is the f***** point of opening, tapos kukunan lang ng ano, kaya ngayon wala na," he added.

"Wala na iyung Customs, darating ang balikbayan, 'wag n'yo na pakialaman, hard-earned money 'yan," Duterte said.

He said Customs workers must change their ways, saying he is serious in fighting corruption to the lowest level of government agencies.

"Tiis lang muna. You have to make adjustments. This cannot go on," Duterte said.
