A masked gunman set fire to a gaming room at a casino in Resorts World Manila on Friday, igniting a toxic blaze that killed 36 people, authorities said.

Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella said there was no evidence linking the attack to fighting between government troops and Islamist militants in Marawi City.
