Tropical storm Basyang made landfall in Surigao del Sur on Tuesday morning, bringing moderate to heavy rains. 

The storm later weakened to a tropical depression, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and 65 kph gusts. It was forecasted to make another landfall in either Cebu or Negros Oriental. 

Incessant rains brought by Basyang submerged and caused flashfloods in several areas in Caraga.
