Pendulonan school honors Vinta fatalities

The Philippine flag at Pendulonan Elementary School in Munai, Lanao del Norte is flown half-mast in this photo taken last January 9. Four students from this school died from a flashflood caused by Tropical Depression Vinta. Munai is one of the hardest hit municipalities by the weather disturbance, which caused flashfloods and landslides that swept away houses, damaged schools, and submerged farmlands. A case against TRAIN

Makabayan Representatives led by Carlos Isagani Zarate of Bayan Muna, Antonio Tinio of Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT), and Ariel Casilao of Anakpawis Party file a petition at the Supreme Court on Thursday.
