MANILA -- As promised by Camarines Sur Gov. Miguel Villafuerte, four roasted pigs (lechon) were given to four evacuation centers in the town of Calabanga, Camarines Sur on Christmas Day.
Villafuerte on Saturday promised in a tweet that he would provide lechon for his constituents who would evacuate amid the threats posed by Typhoon "Nina."
"I know it is Christmas, and is somewhat sunny right now but this is a legit typhoon. (Please) evacuate, magpapalechon tayo sa mga evacuation (center)," Villafuerte said in a tweet.
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 4 is currently raised over Camarines Sur and Catanduanes.
Nina is expected to make landfall over Catanduanes Sunday night. --reports from Kate Delovieres, ABS-CBN News
