DAVAO CITY -- An unidentified man was shot dead by armed men on Saturday night at Purok 4, Barangay Catigan in Toril District, Davao City.

According to witness Eddie Duran, he heard five gunshots and saw four men riding in motorcycles. All of them have back rides.

"Lima ka buto, upat ka mga nakamotor gipusil nila, naa raman akong balay diha," he said.

(Five gunshots, I saw four armed men in motorcycles. My house is near the crime scene)

Duran reported the incident only on Sunday morning because he got scared.

The victim was blindfolded and a note was left that read "ADDICT." The victim, probably in his mid-30s, was wearing a black shirt and cargo shorts.

Senior Inspector Nolan Genova of the SOCO in Davao said the victim sustained three gunshots on his chest that exited through his back using caliber .45, .40 and 5.56.

"Wala nakaila sa iyaha siguro gilabay lang ni dire, tan-awon pa nato kung nalambigit ba gyud siya sa droga" said P01 Carlo Timosan.

(No one knows him, maybe he was just thrown here. We are still investigating if he is involved in drugs.)
