MISAMIS ORIENTAL- An unidentified man was killed in a road accident at Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, minutes after sending a text message to his girlfriend Sunday night.

The victim, who was riding a motorcycle, crashed into a forward truck parked beside the road.

He was declared dead on arrival in a nearby hospital.

Witnesses said the victim was over-speeding and possibly intoxicated. He was also not wearing a helmet.

The victim's phone was found in one of his pockets which showed that he was able to send a text message saying “Pauli nako, Beh” (Pauwi na ako, beh) to his girlfriend minutes before he died.

Police believe that the victim was texting his girlfriend while driving.
They tried calling the number but they were repeatedly ignored.

No IDs were found to identify the victim. However, the official receipt and certificate of registration of the motorcycle indicated that it belonged to a certain Michael Dahe from Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
