SOUTH COTABATO - Three men were found dead near the boundary of Barangay Poblacion, town of Tantangan in South Cotabato and Barangay Estralla in the town of President Quirino in Sultan Kudarat on Monday.

The bodies of cousins Felbes Andrada, 24 years old, and James Job, 15 years old were discovered in a road in Purok Salukag.

A few meters away from the two victims, the cadaver of John Rey Soledad, 24 years old, was found in a ricefield in the area of President Quirino.

Police found gunshot wounds in the victims' bodies. Empty shells from a caliber .45 pistol and M-14 rifle were also found on the scene.

"Yung mga kamag-anak namin wala man ang anak mo doon Auntie, sabi nya. Eh di kampante ako eh. Pumunta pa rin kami doon sa tinapunan nila, nandoon pala ang anak ko. Iyak ako eh. Nung nakita ko yung bangkay iba na ang mukha," said Fely Andrada, mother of the victim, Felbes.

(My relatives said my son was not one of the victims. I still went there and I saw my son. I cried hard. My son already looked different when we found his body.)

The three victims were last seen in Barangay Dumadalig going to Barangay Poblacion to eat balut.

According to Vilma Ochoa, Job’s aunt, she saw Soledad fetch her two nephews.

"Before six o' clock nakita ko na naman sinundo nya 'yung pamangkin ko. May puntahan sila. Nakita ko pa nagpa-gas pa sila sa pinsan ko pa,” she said.

(I saw him fetch my nephews. They were going somewhere. I even saw them buy motorcycle gasoline from my cousin.)

The three, however, did not return that night.

Ochoa said Job was supposed to celebrate his 16th birthday this Friday.

The police are still investigating the incident.

The police believe the killers took Job's motorcycle and robbed the victims because their wallets and cellphones are missing.

According to police Chief Inspector Johnny Rick Medel, they don’t have a witness yet.

"Kung may mga grupo dyan na magiging possible suspects natin, pero besides that wala pa talaga kaming suspect. 'Yung lugar kasi uninhabited pa. Walang dumadaan dyan saka walang nakakita," he said.

(There might be groups involved in the crime, but we don't have suspects yet. The area is uninhabited. Only a few people pass by the area.)
