MANILA - Vice President Leni Robredo has denied that she is eyeing a higher political position.

This, after Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa advised her to set aside her supposed political ambitions.

(That's funny. You know, you'll know if I have an ambition if maybe I already have a mascot and standee at the mall. I need more time to work rather than think about the next election.)

The PNP chief is known to have a “PO1 Bato” mascot which he uses in the anti-drug campaign and to bring the police closer to people, especially children.

Dela Rosa earlier called on Robredo to support the policies of President Rodrigo Duterte.

"Sana tulungan n'ya (Robredo) ang Presidente," Dela Rosa told reporters at Kamuning Bakery in Quezon City Monday.
