MANILA—Severe tropical storm "Odette" has left the Philippine area of responsibility, the state weather bureau said Saturday night.
In its 11 p.m. advisory, PAGASA said Odette's center was last estimated at 350 kilometers west-northwest of Laoag city, Ilocos Norte.
It packs maximum sustained winds of 110 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 140 kph.
Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Ilocos region, Zambales and Bataan will still experience light to moderate with occassionally heavy rains.
PAGASA also warned that sea travel is risky over the seaboards of Northern Luzon, the western seaboard of Central Luzon, and the western and southern seaboards of Southern Luzon.
Meanwhile, a low-pressure area or brewing storm was sighted Saturday afternoon at 2,000 kilometers east of Mindanao.
