Three farmers were shot dead in Barangay Naguirayan, Pidigan, in Abra province Tuesday midnight.
Police identified the victims as Jomar Cabutaje, 26, Jayveemar Cabutaje, 21, and Mike Carlos Turquez, 33. They suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Personal grudge that remained unresolved may have led to the shooting, said Senior Supt. Rey Antolin de Peralta, director of Abra Provincial Police Office.
The victims were sleeping when the two gunmen barged into the house and started firing.
Jayveemar was able to run outside the house to ask for help from their neighbors until he was shot in the head, police said.
Jomar and Jayveemar were brothers. Turquez was a relative of Jomar's wife. They worked for Dr. Antonio Valera, who owns the farm.
Police have identified the gunmen.
