The full-page ad published on the August 31, 2016 edition of the Manila Bulletin claimed that leaders of various multi-sectoral groups in Pangasinan believe that allegations linking Espino to illegal drugs trade are untrue.
A part of the statement that Pangasinan's citation as the "Best Performing Province in Region I" should be credited to Espino's performance as governor.
Aside from signatures of barangay health workers, farmers, and senior citizens, the ad also informed readers that a provincial resolution was approved by local officials in Pangasinan to "express full faith, trust and confidence in the integrity and competence" of Espino.
