No boats were in the waters off Ilocos Norte Saturday as fishermen were forced to stay safe home due to risks to sea travel brought by tropical storm "Jolina".
As the cyclone moved away from the Philippines, the province experienced light rains.
As of this writing, no landslides or floods have been reported by authorities.
In its 11 a.m. update, weather bureau PAGASA said that four areas in the northern Philippines remained under tropical cyclone warning signal no. 1.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is still expected within the 300-km diameter of the storm.
The center of "Jolina" was estimated at 120 kilometers west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur as of 10 a.m.
"Jolina" is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility Saturday night. --Reports from Grace Alba, ABS-CBN News
