MANILA - State weather bureau PAGASA on Tuesday warned of possible thunderstorm in certain areas in the Philippines.
At 10:00 a.m., PAGASA issued a thunderstorm advisory for Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Ilocos Norte and Benguet.
It said that thunderstorm is likely to develop over the said areas within 12 hours.
At 10:15 a.m., PAGASA reported thunderstorm affecting portions of Oriental Mindoro? and Albay?.
At 11 a.m., PAGASA also issued a Yellow Rainfall Warning over Bataan, Zambales and Pampanga.
PAGASA earlier said that the southwest monsoon (habagat) will continue to affect Luzon.
It also said that in the past 10 days, the amount of rainfall dumped in some parts of Luzon was equivalent to a month's volume of rain.
PAGASA weather division chief Esperanza Cayanan said in particular that Sangley point in Cavite experienced a month's volume of rain in the past 10 days.
Rains, meanwhile, dumped over Iba, Zambales were equivalent to the 80 percent of a month's volume of rain.
