MANILA -- (UPDATE) A fire hit the warehouse of SM North EDSA in Quezon City Sunday night, affecting the third and fourth floors of the popular mall's department store.
The blaze was first reported at around 9 p.m. and threatened disruptions as shoppers head out to grab deals during the tail-end of the mall's three-day sale.
Fire trucks were sent to tackle the flames, which reached third alarm as per the city's Bureau of Fire Protection.
The fire has been already contained, according to the mall's management, and that no one has been declared hurt.
An investigation on the cause of the fire is still ongoing.
Mall operations have resumed to normal.
