"Meet between PRRD and Arch Valles took place at 4 p.m. PRRD agreed to a moratorium on statements about the Church after the meeting. It was a one-on-one meeting," sabi ni presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

"As a bishop we're open to listen to one another, and with respect, with openness, listening to one another," ani Valles.

"The President must be joking... God cannot be seen by any human eye but can only be seen through the eyes of faith. Anyone, even PRRD, who would acknowledge sinfulness, ask forgiveness and by faith, trust Jesus Christ as God's sent savior, would receive unconditional forgiveness," pahayag ni Pantoja.

Nagtapos nitong Lunes ang CBCP plenary assembly.

May mensaheng "Rejoice and be glad: CBCP pastoral exhortation" ang pastoral letter na inilabas ng Simbahan.

"Those who arrogantly regard themselves as wise in their own estimation and who regard the Christian faith as nonsense, those who blaspheme our God as stupid, St. Paul's words are to the point. And I quote, "For the stupidity of God is wiser than human wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength,'" ani CBCP vice president Bishop Pablo Virgilio David.

"The battles that we fight are spiritual," sabi ni David. "When there is so much hatred and violence... we admonish the faithful to... actively work for peace."

Paglilinaw pa ng CBCP, nirerespeto ng Simbahan ang separation of Church and state na nakapaloob sa Konstitusyon.

"As long as they do not contradict the basic spiritual and moral principles we hold dear such as respect for the sacredness of life, the integrity of creation, and the inherent dignity of the human person," ani David.
