BACOLOD CITY - A car driven by a doctor rammed the glass door of a drugstore along 21st Street in Bacolod City on Monday afternoon.
Traffic investigator SPO1 Jun Garong said a woman who was inside the drugstore at the time of the accident was slightly injured after she was pinned among the shelves.
He said that the victim is now out of danger.
Police identified the driver as Eddie Mercado, a doctor.
Garong said Mercado was driving an automatic vehicle and he may have stepped on the accelerator with too much force when he was trying to park his car.
Mercado said his tires hit the car parking block and he inadvertently stepped on the accelerator.
As of writing, the drugstore manage has no damage estimate yet.
Garong said the driver's insurance will handle the damage incurred.
