DAVAO - Mayor Sara Duterte on Monday said the city has allotted P1 million worth of relief goods for all Marawi siege victims.

In a press briefing, Duterte said the city is set to provide relief goods to the victims in Marawi and Iligan City.

She added that 500 sacks of rice are on standby.

According to Atty. Raul Nadela, Davao City chief of staff, the relief goods are ready but they are still working on how to transport the goods.

"We are prepared to give them relief assistance except that the issue there now is paano siya ma-safely transport to Marawi and Iligan," Nadela told ABS-CBN News.

Moreover, the city is open to giving more if the allocation is inadequate.

Davao City also called on everyone to donate goods or cash to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-XI, which will serve as the central hub of all donations for Marawi.

Carmela Duron, regional information officer of DSWD-XI, said they have received donations already.
