MANILA - The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has recovered a sports utility vehicle (SUV) stolen almost 2 years ago at the parking area of the country's main airport.

Airport General Manager Ed Monreal told ABS-CBN News that a gray Hyundai Tucson with plate number TPO 443, reported stolen by a female Taiwanese national on June 11, 2015, was found abandoned at the parking area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal-2 in March.

Investigation by airport police revealed that the vehicle originally owned by a certain Darren John Williams, a resident of Merville, Parañaque was sold to a certain Mario Manacap, owner of buy-and-sell firm Carland Car Exchange.

Manacap expressed his gratitude to the MIAA for taking the time to trace the vehicle's owner so it could be returned.
