The camp of Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo is unfazed by the latest Social Weather Stations survey showing a steady drop in her trust rating.
The poll shows Robredo's net trust rating falling to +30 in March, a 15 percentage point drop from the +45 trust rating she got in December.
SWS said 55% of adult Filipinos had much trust for the vice-president, 20% were undecided, and 25% had little trust for Robredo.
There has been a consistent decline in Robredo's numbers, which stood at +63 in June last year and +58 in September.
Her latest rating suffered declines across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao; the biggest decline was seen in Mindanao, from +52 last December to +20 in March.
Robredo's spokesperson Georgina Hernandez believes the survey results show many Filipino still trust Robredo.
"We are encouraged by the results of this survey which covers the period from December 2016 to March 2017 - the first three months that VP Leni began work outside of Cabinet, and focused all her efforts on Angat Buhay, the Office of the Vice President's Anti-Poverty initiative," Hernandez said.
"The survey results are a reminder to us as well that there are still many Filipinos who place their trust in VP Leni and her ability to serve and give voice to those on the margins of society." ANC
