MANILA - The Office of the Ombudsman has added another graft case against former Caloocan City Mayor Enrico Echiverri, this time for a road project in the city.

The Ombudsman indicted Echiverri for the concreting of three streets in Barangay 187 - Cherry Blossom Street, Rose Street and Ilang-Ilang Street.

According to the information filed by the Ombudsman, Echiverri gave "unwarranted benefits and advantage" to Tuchar Construction for the P3.6 million road construction from July to November 2012.

Also included in the graft case are City Accountant Edna Centeno and City Budget Officer Jesusa Garcia.

Echiverri and his former city officials are already facing graft charges before the Third, Fifth and Second Divisions of the Sandiganbayan.

He was supposed to be arraigned Thursday at the Fifth and Second Divisions but he still has pending motions to quash.
