MANILA - The Sandiganbayan First Division has reset the arraignment of former Government Corporate Counsel Agnes Devanadera as her camp has expressed the intent to question her indictment.
Her supposed arraignment on Thursday was moved to June 8.
Devanadera was the government counsel when the Philippine National Construction Corporation entered into an allegedly anomalous P6.1 billion debt settlement pact with a private company.
According to the information filed by the Office of the Ombudsman on December 2016, the debt settlement with British creditor Radstock Securities was "contrary to law" and "disadvantageous to the government".
Officials of the PNCC were charged along with Devanadera for the questionable deal.
Devanadera's arraignment was reset as the defense intends to file a motion to quash the information against her.
