MANILA - A low pressure area was spotted east of Zambales on Tuesday, state weather bureau PAGASA said just days after tropical depression "Crising" swamped the Visayas islands.
In an 11 a.m. advisory, PAGASA said the LPA was spotted 340 kilometers west of Iba town in Zambales.
The weather disturbance has yet to affect the country but the public is advised to monitor the next weather bulletin at 5 p.m.
Typhoon Crising dumped heavy rains in Visayas over the weekend, leaving at least 9 people dead in Cebu province due to floods.
Crising, which has since weakened into an LPA, left the Philippine area of responsibility on Tuesday.
