P400K worth of 'shabu' seized in Benguet

BENGUET – Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in a buy-bust by police from La Trinidad, Benguet and Baguio City police.

Police arrested Hadjiomar Mojeb, 26, and his alleged runner, Winston Tibangay, 35, in Barangay Cruz, La Trinidad.

“Merong wanted sa BCPO (Baguio City Police Office) na andito sa La Trinidad, we conducted a buy-bust, and nakabili yung ating kunwaring buyer,” said la Trinidad Police chief Benson Macli-ing.

Nineteen sachets of suspected shabu weighing 62.5 grams were confiscated from the suspects. 

Police said the suspected drugs had a market price of P400,000. 

According to the police, the suspects also sold fake DVDs in La Trinidad. The suspects were not on PNP’s watchlist, but the two allegedly had been operating for six months.

The suspects allegedly got their supply in Manila and sold these in La Trinidad and Baguio.

They were detained in the Benguet Provincial Jail for violation of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
