MANILA - A deputy executive director of the National Council on Disability Affairs is facing trial before the Sandiganbayan for allegedly making sexual advances to a subordinate.
In a case filed by prosecutors, Mateo Lee was accused of sexual harassment committed against his lady administrative aide in several instances between February 14, 2013 and March 20, 2014.
Lee allegedly asked the staff member when they would check in to a hotel. He also allegedly sent flowers, food and messages of endearment despite her protests.
Lee also allegedly visited the aide at her house, church, and would even ask about her friends and relatives.
Prosecutors alleged Lee even followed the aide on her way home,"which sexual demand, request or requirement resulting in an intimidating, hostile or offensive working environment" to the staff.
